Movie Update From OSC
Orson Scott Card spoke to IGN Movies and gave them the latest on the Ender's Game movie. Unfortunately, it's not good news since it's doesn't seem like the movie will be coming out any time soon. On the other hand, perhaps it is best that the film not be made until it's going to be done correctly.
Ender's Game is currently in "turnaround" at Warner Bros, meaning WB is not going to be doing the film and the rights may be sold to another studio.
Here are the highlights:
Card advised us that Ender's Game has been put into turnaround at Warner Bros., a move that the author said was "a good thing" for the filmmakers since it allows them to shop the project to other studios. He also suggested that the producers behind Ender's Game -- Chartoff Productions and Fresco Pictures -- may try to raise funding independently.
Card said he is now the sole screenwriter on the project, disclosing that he was pulled away from his Iron Man comic book project to work on the Ender's script.
He emphasized that until financing is in place no director can be hired.
He added that there are several "excellent" special effects houses willing to work on the film because they know the book.

Hi, I am a big and i mean BIG Orson Scott Card fan. When i heard about this movie I totaly flipped PLZZZZZZZZZZ they have to make this movie and i swear if it money they need i will feakin make a Money donation thing at my school i know they will be more thing willing to help >.<
I'm a huge Orson Scott Card fan too. I just hope that they do a thorough, sweeping search for excellent child actors because there is no way to make this move without a least 6 to 8 of them.
I am as well and am very excited for the movie. I'd rather wait till it's done right, though.

i have 2 agree w/ petrashadow here. i <3333333333333333333 enders game. they need money, i will donate all of mine xD
but they really should take their time or else it'll end up terrible

Who is playing Ender?

I been looking for the old Movie of Enders game. This moive that sopose to come out would be ok. But I remmber watching the Movie long ago. Maybe my mind playing tricks. But I rember scens, as peter killing small animals, and at the end of the movie. Where Ender did not want to play the game anymore. He ended playing the game. One of the teachers that well played enders mind. Ender thought he was playing agents him. In the end, the teacher came out of a room he was in, that Ender saw him go. He came out with tears in his eyes. From there when Ender was inforemd that the game wasn't a game. Movie came out about 15 years ago, maybe longer. Old school moive.

i agree with all of you,
this movie should take all the time it needs. dont want to be disappointed at all, because of bad acting, or bad scene transitions, or effects. Card, Sir, its up to you to make sure the movie does justice to your unforgettable novel.
